Metropolitan Phoenix is renowned for its sunshine, leisure activities, and thriving economy, making it a desirable place to live. However, many children and families in the area are struggling and unable to fully benefit from what Phoenix has to offer. Despite the commendable efforts of hundreds of local nonprofit organizations and thousands of volunteers, the needs of these vulnerable groups are growing faster than our capacity to assist them.

Our community faces serious social issues such as hunger, homelessness, drug addiction, unemployment, and a pervasive loss of hope. These challenges contribute to personal despair, broken families, domestic violence, child abuse, poor school performance, and an increasing number of children in foster care. For over 50 years, federal and state governments have attempted to address these problems, but they have only worsened in recent years.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, T.W. Lewis Foundation believes that strong individuals and strong families are the foundation of our society, and that every child deserves the opportunity to realize their God-given potential. Therefore, the foundation is committed to supporting individuals and families in their journey to becoming the best they can be.
