The Children’s Museum of Phoenix has rolled out its $23.5M capital campaign to raise funding for a major renovation and expansion.

Funding for the five-year project will transform the museum into one of the largest children’s museums in the country, expanding visitations, exhibits, and early learning opportunities, President and CEO Kate Wells told the Business Journal.

Liberty University held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new T.W. Lewis Center for Student Success at the School of Business on Oct. 30.

The center, located near the Center for Entrepreneurship, will integrate leadership principles into existing business courses, offer personal and professional development workshops, host multiple speaker series each semester, provide personal assessments through Indigo Education Company, and more.

Entrepreneur Kevin Youngblood knew Grand Canyon University and award-winning Arizona Homebuilder and philanthropist Tom Lewis would do great things together.

The T.W. Lewis Foundation kicked off its annual holiday giving campaign with major donations to five Valley nonprofits: Fresh Start Women’s Foundation, Arizona Friends of Foster Children Foundation, St. Vincent de Paul, The Foster Alliance, and Phoenix Rescue Mission. Together, these groups provide critical support for women, foster children, struggling families, and those experiencing homelessness. The Foundation invites the community to join in spreading holiday cheer by donating directly at TWLewis.com, where 100% of contributions go to the nonprofits.

One of Arizona’s most storied homebuilders did not have a college home for his philanthropy, which supports children and families in need and various nonprofit organizations. But after learning about the pillars of Grand Canyon University, seeing the smiles on students’ faces on their way to classes, and hearing about the vision of President Brian Mueller and other leaders, Tom Lewis felt right at home.

Trying to figure out one’s purpose can be daunting, often leading to confusion and anxiety. One important thing to remember is that purpose evolves. As I reflect on the seven decades of my life, I believe I had a different purpose in each decade.
